Fight Club (1999)

A young insomniac unnamed narrator attends support groups in the attempt to relieve his insomniac state.The narrator is an office man who gets bored of his own lifestyle and wants to change it. He meets Marla at the group therapy sessions. Marla is neither victim nor a survivor but she just comes and smokes in the rooms in which the narrator participates.The narrator can't sleep because of Marla. He had to find something else to do. The narrator meets Tyler Durden on a flight to home. The narrator's house is burned down so he called Tyler Durden for help. Tyler Durden introduced him a new way to relieve his insomnia by making a fight club. The fight club is a club for everyone to fight with bare fists. Tyler develops a relationship with Marla and left the narrator alone most of the time. They fight club starts to gain many followers and the group starts to be out of control. The narrator starts to know the secret of fight club and the real identity of Tyler.

I personally enjoyed this movie so much. The movies run with fast pace which grabbed my attention all the time.As the movie goes, I started to want to know the real reason for the fight club. I also wanted to know the identity of Tyler Durden.  The ending of the movie is also plot twist and makes the movie becomes even more awesome.

What make the movie become plot twist is that the narrator is the same person as Tyler Durden. The narrator was bored of his lifestyle and wanted to escape from it. When he was sleeping, his mind created an illusion which was an another himself. He sleepwalks and thought that he meet with Tyler Durden. The fight club which is out of the narrator control became Project Mayhem in which the club will bomb the city. Narrator tried to stop the project but the other side of himself stopped him. Tyler wants to clean up the city because he doesn't like the lifestyle of people in the city which is extravagant.

The Usual Suspects (1995)

The story of this movie is nothing special. The acting of the actors is nothing special too. But what make this movie be ranked as rank 25th best movie of all time? The answer is its ending. It is regarded as one of the most plot twist movie of all time. If you haven't watch the movie yet, go and watch it. You would be shocked for a few days.

          The movie begins as five men who were arrested as the suspect for committing a crime. None of them were found guilty. They planned a revenge against the police which leads an event in which many people were killed and a cargo ship was set on fire. Roger 'Verbal' Kint was questioned by the police and was forced to explain what exactly happened on the night of the event. Verbal told stories about the other four-man and himself who got a mission from Keyser Soze. The question that all the police want to know is, who is Keyser Soze?

From my point of view, the movie is very boring from the start until at almost the end. The stories that were told by Verbal Kint were pretty boring. The picture of the movie looks old and outdated. The only awesome scene is the ending of the movie.

Verbal Kint is set for free after he told the police officer on all the stories. After he left the police station, the officer realized that all the stories that were told by Verbal were made up. Verbal is actually Keyser Soze, a legendary criminal man.
